Overview of Automatic Prepend
The Automatic Prepend feature helps you automatically add a "1" in front of the area code when you place long distance calls. Please note this feature is available only on a CDMA device that is used in North America.

Turn Automatic Prepend on or off
- Tap Start > Settings > Personal tab >
Phone > CDMA Services tab.
- Select Automatic Prepend on the list of available services,
and then tap Get Settings.
- There are two options under Automatic Prepend:
- Tap Enable to turn Automatic Prepend on. When you place
a long distance call, the "1" will be automatically added in
front of the area code that you entered.
- Tap Disable to turn Automatic Prepend off. When you
place a long distance call, the "1" will not be added in front
of the area code that you entered.
